Background: The main reason of morbidity and mortality are attributed to the complication of atherosclerosis, with coronary thrombosis. The main cause of coronary heart disease (CHD) is the formation of atherosclerotic plaque by local aggregation of lipids. Although the genetic and environmental risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, smoking, abnormal serum lipids and age are the main reason of CHD, recent evidences have shown that high levels of systemic inflammatory and haemostatic factors may possibly accelerate vascular inflammation and promote thrombosis. Periodontitis is a chronic inflammation of supporting tissue around the teeth and this may result in a systemic inflammatory response. Material and method: Fifty four individuals (27 patients with CHD and 27 patients without CHD) participated in this study, which underwent angiography procedure for the diagnosis of CHD during last year. After agreement of patients, panoramic radiography were taken, then the amount of alveolar bone loss and number of missed teeth were evaluated. Result: This study showed that, the amount of average bone loss in patients with CHD, also the average number of extracted teeth were significantly higher than average bone loss and number of extracted teeth in healthy subjects (P-value
